Summer bugs and rehab

Evil bacteria were flying in Quebec air and got into my eyes. I am fighting the conjunctivitis during last seven days as a result of this. Eye drops work and I can use my eyes in accordance with their major purpose which is look at screen. Frankly speaking I am okay for more than two days now and even had a chance to walk, swim and sail in several interesting places last three days. Several pics of these days are placed below.

Galiano Island:

Motorboat ride in the strait:

Walk in the meadow:

Pharmacy viewpoint to the herbs:

Pink willow-herb is used as herbal supplement in the treatment of prostate, bladder (incontinence) and hormone disorders. White milfoils are known as “herbal militaris”, for their use in stanching the flow of blood from wounds. These plants are in blossom:

I like the smell of milfoil and it’s so nice to have a nap somewhere in shadow place on the carpet of these flowers:

This plant, St. John's Wort, is used as a treatment for depression in humans:

It’s very popular in Russia and they consume it as vodka tincture. I guess this is a reason why Russians are not depressed by drinking :), they are drinking vodka with antidepressant:

The summer continues and next berries are on the move, thimbleberry now:

The smog of wildfires was dispersed by the wind finally and we have nice evenings in the village:

American Mount Baker is a major dominant of our village landscape:

What a beautiful place:

Canfico (Canadian Fish Company) fleet under Austrian flag is resting in the harbor:

The sunset promises to be picturesque:

I think it’s very nice to watch the sunset from Shady Island:

But I have to go, my friends are waiting me in another “Shady Island” on the pier where I am going now for a couple of beers with mussels in lemon-garlic souse and piece of halibut:
