A Drink for the Heat

Jun 01, 2006 14:30

Since summer is drawing closer, and closer (unfortunately), and I haven't posted a recipe in a bit, let's kill two birds with one stone.

Mint Tea
  • 6 C. H2O
  • 1 bunch of fresh mint (10 - 15 sprigs)
  • 8 tea bags (2 family sized)
  • 1/4 C. sugar (optional)

Bring the water and mint to a boil. Remove from heat, add the tea bags, cover and let steep for about five minutes. Strain out the mint and tea bags. Add sugar (a must!). Chill. Enjoy.

I'm still waiting for mine to cool enough to put in the fridge, but the little glass I fixed with some ice? Awesome. Reminds me of days gone by. Luckily, I can just walk off the back porch and get all the mint I need.

Enjoy!
