Regarding my trip-
Oooh, are there any pictures? I've estimated (because I am too lazy to actually add numbers together) that I took about 1,800 frames of digital and 15 rolls of 120 film. So yes, there are some pictures.
We did sort of a first edit for class yesterday, but the point of the class this semester is to work on everything from the trip and have a finished product in May (and a show in the fall.) So I will probably post images here from time to time, AND at our class blog,
FotoViajeros, where you can see my blog post about the January elections!
cough.
What book and what author are you talking about?
One Day of Life, by Manlio Argueta. Intense. Both reading the book and meeting the author. (Um, did I mention I got to hug him?)
Most of my time is spent not working on my thesis. This is how my time is divided now, working on thesis, not working on thesis. I am not really excited about my project at all but I'm determined to get it done. The El Salvador show is giving me something to look forward too; I would hate if my last project at the corcoran were a total disaster. Now my thesis can be a disaster since it won't be my last show. So far I'm loving a lot of the images I shot for this trip. (Hating a lot too, but percentage-wise it's working out much better.)
All my sentences are coming out more tortured than ever so I am going to stop here.
