Artichokes are really big flowers
Yesterday Ironmoose and I went and hung out with friends (boardgames, barbecue, making the babies laugh - fun stuff).
At some point I mentioned that I was excited about 99cent artichokes at the grocery store just down the street. I got a kitchen-full of blank stares. No one, not one single person there, had ever had artichokes! And then the guys came inside from the patio and had the same story. So I ran over to the store and bought a bunch of artichokes and had a very small cooking class and I made all my friends eat artichokes!!
Today, I feel more than a little like a complete nutcase. XD I really did make all the adults (and most of the kids) try it! Worse, I don't think that anyone even liked them. D: Artichokes: an acquired taste. Now I know! XD ...and in the future I think I need to restrain myself in regards to my excited fangirling over vegetables XD I just really, really like veggies and artichokes are my favourite!!! XD;;;;
