Dear Festividder,
First of all, thank you! I'm super excited to get a vid from you, as you clearly have excellent taste in small fandoms. I will include a bunch of details here in case you are the kind of person who enjoys complex prompts, but if you do not feel free to do whatever takes your fancy and I am sure I will love it!
General notes: I have no problem with songs in other languages (although translations would be cool) or instrumental music, but if you pick a song in English I would really like to be able to easily understand the lyrics. Vid-wise, I'm good with basically anything: crack, shipping, even anything way out on a bizarre limb.
Fandoms (I totally forget what I wrote for prompts, so forgive me if I repeat myself):
RPS - soccer (USWNT/WPS): I have no shame in admitting that this is my current obsession. There are some vids out there, but they're largely about sportsy triumph. I'd love something that has a more RPS-ish feel, if that makes sense, and is about the team having fun and being close and bonded and awesome. My favorites on the national team are Amy LeP, Barney, HAO, and Abby. If you're going for WPS as well, Boston is my team, but I also have a great fondness for Karen Bardsley.
Before Sunrise/Sunset: I would love to see a vid that really uses the two movies as a sequence, something that plays with parallels or differences, things that are set up or referenced between the two films.
Newsies: This was my first fandom ever! Aww, Newsies. I would love a general happy team feeling vid, if that's your thing. My favorite character is Racetrack; my OTP has always been Spot/Race, though good luck vidding that because they have about six seconds of joint screen time. I would also love a vid that does something really non-disney, maybe about how glorified everything is in the movie compared to what real life would have been, or anything weird and different you want to do.
Play in the Gray Okay, first of all, if you've even seen this, BRAVO. ATKM are the best ever. I would really be happy with anything you want to do with this source- a vid about their relationship as a group, a highlight of one person (Maria and Jill are my favorites), something about their performances ans message. Really, anything.
RPF- LOTR:EE Lotrips will always remain the fandom of my heart. Always. Anything will fill me with joy. I would adore a vid about the cast's bond with each other. My OTP is Billy/Dom, and that would be lovely as well. Alternately, if you're the kind of giant dork I am, I think a vid about everything in the extras other than the actors would be FANTASTIC. Something showing all the incredible work and art and innovation that went into the films.
Dil Chahta Hai Probably unsurprisingly, my favorite thing about this movie is the relationship between the three guys. Something about that would be great! Gen or slash is fine with me. If you're going with one character, I prefer Sid and Sameer to Akash (unsurprisingly), but any pairing (or OT3!) is totally cool.
