Haven't been around much this week...
Anyway, tomorrow I'm taking my kitty to the vet, and then hopefully after he gets a clean bill of health, I can get some writing done!
I'm trying not to be stressed out, because he has pretty much every indicator of good cat health, but his pee is not clumping the litter, even though ordinary tap water will make clumps, and before him I had a cat who died young because of kidney disease, so this kind of thing freaks me out a little. Still, that cat had been visibly ill when we took him into the vet, and Momo has clear eyes, a cool damp nose, and is behaving normally, I just want to make sure there's nothing I should do to improve his health before we go to my aunt's for a week.
We went out and bought a new carrier (he outgrew his old one! He was a tiny kitten, but he's a big cat), and he's checked out the outside a bit. His brother (who's healthy as a horse), of course, decided that as the top cat of the house, he should get to sleep in the new hidey cave. Not how I wanted things to go... Hope he has a little time to get used to the carrier before we have to drive him over to the vet's, but his brother might hog it. Thinks the thing's like a little cat castle. (to be fair, it does have a soft bed inside, because it's a hard-sided one and we wanted it to be comfy-- normally Mo is the one who likes to be in the hidey-holes...)
