It was early morning when I woke up, and saw Ripcord stretching and yawning in the passenger’s seat, but a peek in the rearview mirror showed a distinct lack of either Roadblock or Tunnel Rat.

No, leadership brings with it a plethora of surprises, I'm sure...
It's kind of fun to break Ripcord's brain. I'm getting used to him being back with the living and with the team... but I probably won't be writing a lot about him... I guess since he spent so much of the series sequestered away as Patient X, he's just not as fleshed-out as the others?
Sometimes I like to write obstacle-facing, us-against-the-world, forbidden love slash, but... in this universe, it just felt like I couldn't write any member of the team being *against* it. They just all had to be at least passively supportive.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm not saying it can't be written, but it just seems to add extra unneeded drama to write otherwise. So long as RB and TR don't let their priorities get mixed up, then there's really no reason to have a problem, right?

Exactly. Drama is good, but drama for drama's sake gets everything off-track.
