Exam time!

I had my first exam last Thursday. I think it went pretty well considering I didn't read a few of the books I should have. Ah well, the library didn't even have one of them and it wasn't anywhere online, so no one can blame me. I hope, that is.

Two next week- Wednesday and Thursday, which I haven't read the books for. Mrmmm. Bad Jenn. So this weekend I have about 1,000 pages to read, and 1500 more like if the other book gets back into the library soon (each book is, like, 500 pages- damn 19th C. writers!). You think they'd have more than one copy of a book for a class of 35, but oh well. Everyone tells me to watch the film or the BBC adaptations of them, but I keep telling them that it doesn't count, I have to read them to be able to answer the exam questions. And then I need to put in some time for studying for the one on Thursday, which I haven't yet in the slightest and which I really don't know enough about to be able to sufficiently answer any question he'd throw at me. Granted, I did take extensive notes for that one, though. I always do for History modules.

So things around here have been okay. Tina's at an antique jewelry auction today, so she isn't back until next Tuesday or so, and then she leaves. And then Pen leaves. Sad. Then I leave. Also sad. It really is like a second home here in Lampy. We often refer to each other as being our Lampy family. Example: There's Mummy Nat, Alky Sister Nick, Honourary Sister Tom, Eldest Sister Tina, etc. And over at Liz and Tor's, etc., she's called us our Lampy family, and I figure I'm the obscure aunt that visits every now and then. Or the foreign cousin.

Interesting English expression (rather posh, as it is): inserting 'well' before words, ex: I'm well tired; I'm well glad; etc.
