Long Way From Conway (3/?)

A/N: Considering doing this all in the past few mornings and having finals this entire week I think this came out very well. I swear, if only Kradam did happen. {sigh} IIHU is being filmed tonight! :D Can't wait for that one to show!
Rating: PG-13 for...well....violence? I guess so.
Disclaimer: I don't own Kris or Adam :/

"So the jerk just left you like that?"

"Neil, he's not a jerk, he just is....hopelessly confused right now and once the dumb cheerleader does something wrong he'll be mine. I tend to be very good with damage control."

Adam's mom Leila looked at her son with sad eyes, for what he just had described to them had been the most complecated sounding relationship she had ever heard, even a new level of hard for Adam, lord of hard relationships. Much to her worry, it seemed like Adam was falling for a disaster.

"Adam, sweetie, don't you think that you're going through a little bit too much for just a guy you met today? I mean, you said yourself sweetie, he wasn't even straight. That's like, a recipe for disaster."

"Mom, I know he's the one. I just do. Please, I am willing to fight for him. He does like me! I can tell."

"Like you as a friend," Neil mumbled through his cereal.

"Shut up Neil." Adam said angrily. "Now I've seen how flustered he gets when I flirt around with him. I mean, he blushes all the time. But....today was just a rocky start to our relationship. I just know it."

"What about the cheerleader?" Adam's father Eber asked. "What if it is real with them? I mean, you said that when you saw them that Kris looked in love."

"But she didn't."

"Oh."

-----------------------------------------------------------

Kris and Crystal were sitting by her pool, smiling and holding hands as the sun set over the big oaks surrounding her small house. They shared a small kiss and then retreated to the house quietly. It was almost dinner time, and Kris had to get home soon. Only problem was that he didn't know how to tell her.

"Um...Crystal?" Kris shakily asked. "I have to be home for dinner. I...I'm sorry."

Crystal laughed and nodded in acknowledgment. "Okay, I understand. It's not like you're telling me my dog died. It's just a day. Go on home."

"Really? No hard feelings?"

"Kris, just go!"

"Okay, okay!"

"Bye."

"Bye!"

------------------------------------------------------------

In the early morning of Tuesday, Kris was already up and ready for school, something odd that he never was. He sat outside and when the bus came, he ran inside. Kris was looking to find Crystal, but all he saw were the crazy people and then Adam with his iPod in hand. Kris decided to sit by him for the time being. As soon as he sat, Adam looked up to Kris.

"Why are you sitting by me, don't you have a cheerleader to sit next to? Wasn't I too un-cool for you to be with?"

Guilt swept through Kris like a sandstorm. Adam seemed very sad and, he knew himself, it was because of yesterday. Heck, Kris even thought he was a bit of a jerk yesterday, so Adam had all the right to be mad at him.

"Adam...I'm sorry about yesterday. It's just that-"

"You aren't gay, you don't care about my feelings, and you are in love with a cheerleader who, I predict, in about four days, will get what she wants and then leave. Yeah Kris, I'm not stupid."

"What is with you and your...moodiness lately?"

"Lately, Kris? I've known you for a day!"

"Well, you still are moody!"

"Know why?"

"Why?!"

Suddenly, Adam took Kris's face in his hands and kissed Kris on the lips. Kris was stunned.

Thank God we are in the very back and no one is near us!

Adam soon pulled away, looking all over Kris's face for any emotion.

"I love you, Kris."

"Ehummm..."

Kris had no clue what to say. Adam began to look worried, and it was killing Kris to just think of what to say.

"KRIS C'MON!"

"OKAY! Um.........Adam...you know I can't say it back! I have a girlfriend and I am straight!"

"When can you see that love has no orientation?"

"What are you talking about, Adam?"

Slowly, a tear fell from Adam's eye, causing Kris to feel a bit guilty. He wanted to help, comfort, tell him it would be okay, but sadly, there was almost no way he could, and it killed him.

"Kris......I'm not giving up on you. I-I know this goes against everything going on in your life right now, but I need to tell you something. I love you, and even though you can see it, we are perfect for each other."

"Dude, that's impossible. Besides, that's just your opinion!"

"I can tell it, Kris! I can feel something about us that just...clicks! I love you and I swear, you and I couldn't be more right. Please, just listen to me! You're gonna' ruin your life if you don't!"

Suddenly, the bus stopped, and out the window Kris saw Crystal. Slowly, he began to stand up, only to be pulled back down by Adam. Tight, furious arms held Kris's shoulders, and he had no way to escape them, especially since they belonged to the emotional Adam in front of him. Adam began to cry harder, sobbing almost, and only Kris noticed. Well, him and Crystal who was walking back to Kris.

"Kris," Adam mumbled through his tears, now aware of Crystal's presence, "just.....remember what I said. Okay? Can you do that for me?"

"Um..."

"Kris!" Crystal happily said as she sat in the seat opposite the two men. "Come sit with me!"

"Okay."

"Kris! Answer me!"

"Um...yeah...I guess..." Kris slid across the walkway and nuzzled next to Crystal, pecking her on the cheek. Adam shook his head and sighed, wathcing his silent tears fall on his iPod and forming a puddle. His heart cried out for him to try harder and to go for Kris, but his mind said not to and that he should just forget him. He had been going with his heart on this, but Adam was beginning to wonder if it really was all that worth it.

"All for a guy. Huh." He whispered.

Your lover.

"A guy," he again whispered.

The man you will forever love.

"The man who hates me."

Try Lambert. Just go for him!

"He's not mine to have."

Yours to lose.

"Ugh!"

Suddenly, Adam heard Kris moan. Turning his head, Adam braced himself for the worse. Kissing, hugging. It would kill him. What he saw was way worse. Full make-out and much, much more.

It's a freakin bus, guys! Have some respect!

"Yo, teen monkeys, load off all the making-out and playing rough."

Crystal glared and pressed up close to Kris, earning a groan from him and a blissful look on his face. Adam narrowed his eyes.

"Crystal, get off Kris. Now."

Crystal then nibbled Kris's ear, making Kris go wild. He kept kissing Crystal, not even noticing he was on the school bus. Sloppy and wet, all unconsciously. Adam put his foot down, getting some kids to turn around and stare.

"Crystal, LEAVE HIM ALONE!"

"Why should I? Huh? I seem to be pleasuring him more than you were!" The whole bus let out a big "oooooh" and looked at Adam in waiting for a comeback. Adam looked at Kris and smirked.

"Oh reeeealy?"

In one swift movement, Adam grabbed Kris, yanked him over to his seat, and laid a big wet kiss on Kris's lips, pulling Kris's hair so that he would moan. Now, Kris did moan because of his hair being pulled, but he actually was enjoying Adam. Almost more than Crystal. It both scared him and was amazing at the same time. Next, Adam began to kiss Kris's neck, making sure to be as seductive as possible, and then ran a hand down Kris's chest. He let out a big moan of pleasure, making classmates stare at each other in disbelief. Crystal began to get angry, clenching her fists to not get up and punch Adam. Kris suddenly let out another moan, only it was different than the others. It was a word. A name.

"Aaadammm."

Crystal jumped up, pushing Kris away from Adam, and punched Adam right in the eye. Adam, in defense, hit her back, causing her nose to bleed. Crystal then hit Adam in the stomach, making him begin to cry. A classmate of Adam's, Kiki Patterson, jumped up and began to try to yank Crystal away.

"CRYSTAL STOP! YOU'RE REALLY HURTING HIM!"

"SHUT UP!"

Crystal threw Kiki to the ground and began to punch Adam harder. His nose now was bleeding, he had a black eye, cuts were all over his face, and his stomach was hurting horribly. The bus driver just then pulled the bus over and got up, running to the back of the bus where they were. Kris was unconscious on the ground, for he had hit the ground hard, and Adam was badly bleeding. The bus driver yanked Crystal off of Adam and hit her across her face.

"CRYSTAL! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

Crystal screamed a him, trying to break free, and then hit Kris with her foot, waking him up and hurting him. A groan came out of his mouth as he came to.

"OMG WHAT IS GOING ON?"

All he could see was Crystal's hands all bloody, the bus driver restraining her, and the students around him. As he sat up, he saw Crystal kick something, hearing a loud moan of pain come from whatever it was. Suddenly, he knew.

"ADAM?"

The bus driver yanked Crystal to the front of the bus and was fighting her to stay still. Kris ran up to Adam and gasped at the sight. His hair was bloody, his eye was dark and blackened, his nose was bleeding, his clothes were bloody, and his lips were swollen. Adam looked at Kris with frightened eyes and tried to talk to him, but Kris mouthed "no" to him, for talking would only hurt him more. Kris squeezed between the other seat in front of them and the one Adam was on and came face to face with him. Slowly, he caressed Adam's face and shook his head.

"Anyone have a towel or something?" He cried out to the kids on the bus. A jock, one that Kris knew to be very stuck up and hated people like Adam, handed Kris a towel from his football gear. He began to slowly try to clean the blood off of Adam, hoping that Adam would be okay and hopefully not bleed to death or something. Adam looked at Kris and gently laid his hand on Kris's arm. Then, he gave Kris the most loving look Kris had ever seen in his short 15 years. Adam then looked at himself, seeing how bad he was hurt, and let out a big moan. Kris again caressed Adam's face and felt a tear fall from his brown eyes.

"You'll be okay. I promise."
