Idol was just entering the first top 13 ever on the show and it had all the producers in a buzz.
They already had a mansion planned for the contestants and had sleeping arrangements all planned out.
Well, that was before Anoop Desi came into picture. So, since the whole chart was messed up by the judges, the Idol crew told them to decide who slept with whom.
"How are we supposed to know who to put where? I mean, what if someone doesn't like a certain somebody and they get put together!" Kara said in frustration. Simon rolled his eyes and let out a big sigh.
"Kara, simple, you just give them the option to see the arrangements we make and then say that if they absolutely despise living with that person after a week, then they can come and complain to us about it. All we do then is just put them with someone else." Kara glared at Simon with her big brown eyes.
"What if they don't like who they are put with the second time?"
"Kara, if you have such a problem then why don't you just do the whole bloody thing!"
"Hey!" Paula shouted, making the two instantly look at her. "Why don't we just let them decide off of what we decide? I mean, we can come up with are own chart, and if they don't like how we do it, then they can vote. Vote on our arrangement or their own. Then, majority vote wins and the winning way goes!"
Randy looked to Simon and Kara and shrugged his big shoulders. "Hmm, I think that sounds good."
Kara nodded. "I kinda have to agree."
Simon looked to Paula. "Well, I guess we have to get started on arrangements then, now don't we?"

All 13 idols walked into the mansion that early Thursday morning tired and exhausted. They all just wanted to move in already and were tired of all this crap about who was in who's room. Right now, they could care less.
"Why doesn't everyone get their own room? I mean, that mansion looks big enough!" Allison Iraheta grumbled. Lil Rounds put an arm around her and smiled at the teen. "Allie, the mansion doesn't have thirteen different bedrooms. It just has like, four or five. Besides, they have to have some room for the bowling ally, indoor pool, and theater!"
Allison froze. "Bowling ally? Indoor pool? Theater? Why wasn't I told of all this?"
"Because you were too busy texting your friends when Ryan told us about it," said Matt Giraud, who was too busy playing hockey on his new DSI with Anoop to even care what Allison said. Suddenly, the judges came out of nowhere and greeted them, startling everyone.
"Hello everyone," Simon casually said with his heavy British accent, "we called you all here because we have finally came up with the sleeping arrangements for your group. Now, what Randy is about to give you all is our version of the sleeping arrangements. As you see, they are on simple paper and easily can be written on. That is where you come in. If you do not like who you are with, you can simply cross out the one you are with and write in the new one. If everyone comes up with a better arrangement, you may all turn in to us your version. Then, we are going to give it to the Idol producers and see if they like it. If they approve of it, then you get to have your way. If not, then sadly our way shall stick."
"Hey, that's not my way I suggested!" Paula blurted out. Simon rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Paula, we all discussed this way and agreed to it. Majority vote." Paula just frowned, defeated. "You could of at least told me about it," were her final words before Simon gave the pieces of paper to Randy.
"You shall all have thirty minutes to decide. Take your time, for once you turn it in that is that for the rest of the season. Good luck." Randy then passed out the papers and walked away with the judges back to wherever they came from, leaving the idols alone to decide for themselves.

Kris Allen, probably the nicest and most normal contestant of the bunch watched the judges leave silently in place while the others began talking about the paper. He decided to look at it.

Kris slowly turned his head in the direction of Adam Lambert. Now, Kris so knew who he was (who didn't?) but he barely knew the guy himself personally. Okay, Adam had heavy eyeliner around his eyes, tight skinny jeans, black nail polish, a gray Queen T-shirt, and snake-skin boots, so Kris could already tell two things about Adam: He was a rocker and was a rebel. But Kris looked at him and noticed he just seemed to stand out around people. He was different, but there was something odd about him that Kris just couldn't point out.
"Hey, are you Kris Allen?" Nearly jumping out of his skin from his dreaming as Kris saw Adam standing right in front of him, smiling a shocking white smile. Kris nodded and ran a hand through his hair, forcing a hard laugh out of his throat. "Yeah, I am. Sorry, just got a little...day dreamy there." Nice first move, Kris. "You're Adam Lambert, right?"
The rocker nodded a bit and shook his raven-colored hair from his face. "So, the judges put us as roommates, huh?" Kris nodded. "Well....not trying to sound weird, but I have no problem with staying with you. I mean, yeah, weird that they paired two guys up, but I mean, what can you do, right?" Shocked by Adam's calm taking to all this mess, Kris just nodded again.
Adam rolled his eyes. "Kris, do you really want to share a room with me?"
Kris gulped and looked down at his feet. Okay, yes, spending time in a room at night with Adam was to Kris the equivalent to spending a night with Frankenstein, but Kris could never say that. Besides, he seemed nice and didn't look like he was the type of guy who would be mean to anyone, so Kris decided to stay and try things out.
"Yeah. I do. Besides, it could be fun. I mean, we seem like polar opposites clothing wise, who knows how things are otherwise. We could maybe teach each other some pretty cool things."
Adam blue eyes lit up and he became really happy, more than Kris had ever seen someone act. "So, how about we tell the crew our decision and then go check out our soon-to-be room?"
Go to a room alone? Oh my gosh, what is wrong with him!?
"Kris, a lot of the other contestants are doing that, too. Please, can we?" How could Kris turn him down, though? Those baby blue eyes and that pouting lip? Adam might as well have been a three year old asking if he could have a piece of candy at a store.
"Um...okay. Let's go."
The two walked over to the group casually like it was a little saunter in the park and came to them with both their papers in hand.
"Hey Adam," Allison chirped, "what's the deal with you two?"
"We're keeping the arrangement. What about all of you guys?"
"So are we."
Kris let out a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness that they weren't the only ones! Now it wouldn't seem so weird!
Adam clapped his hands together and got the attention of all the idols. "I say we go and check this place out! Race ya' fools up there!"
Adam sprinted to the stairs and was followed by Kris and everyone else going as fast as they could. As groups of them left to enter their room, it was just Alexis, Megan, Kris, and Adam. Alexis hit Adam's arm and laughed.
"Getting tired out there, Adam?"
"Alexis, I'd shut up a little if I was you."
"Oh, so that's how it's gonna' be?"
Alexis, Adam, and the other idols stopped in place right then, all thinking a fight was going to begin.
Oh gosh, they're gonna fight. Let the show begin!
"Lambert, you. Me. Pool. Chicken fight. Day we move in. Be there."
"Oh," Adam scoffed as he glared in the pixie-like girl's eyes, "you are on Alexis!!!!!"
Megan smiled and grabbed Alexis's arm tight. "Alexis, we don't want to see any blood tonight, girl. Let's go!" Smiling, I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah...let's go Adam."
"Gee Kris," Adam playfully muttered in his ear as they began walking, "tense today are we?"
Kris gulped. "Um....just uh....shy I guess? I don't know...let's just get to our rooms, okay?"
Adam frowned and shoved his hands into his pockets. "Okay, I guess." Megan, noticing Adam's sudden mood change, wrapped her arm around Adam's shoulder and smiled.
"Don't worry boy, he's prob just a little intimidated by you. Heck, I was a bit the first time I saw you. Just give him time, okay babe?"
"Okay Meg. I bet that's all it is. Thanks."
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Do they even know I can hear them?
The four idols suddenly met their hall and saw the two doors across each other that had the plaques that said "Room 4" and "Room 5" on them in gold. Adam smiled and ran to the Room 5 door.
"Come on Kris! Let's check this crib out!"
Kris gulped nervously and crept inside the room. "Wow," he mumbled, "this is beautiful. Very spacious."
Adam smiled and ran to the farthest bed in the room, sitting almost immediately on it, laughing like a little kid. Kris just could sense something about Adam that was different from most people his age. Everyone Kris ever met was either too mature or just very proper. Adam seemed to be free and careless, two qualities Kris found odd but strangely refreshing. He seemed very sociable around Kris, and hopefully this would make living with Adam easy for him.
"I absolutely love this place! I so call this bed, Kris!"
"Um...okay, you can have it if you want it. I'm fine with the bed by the door."
"Kris," Adam questioned, " why are you so....timid? I mean, it took less time for Megan to get used to me, and she was the last one who did! Is...am I doing something wrong? Like, am I being to crazy or something?"
Kris looked Adam in the face and bit his lip. No nothing is wrong with Adam and you know it Kris, so stop and just be a normal human to him and make him feel better! Kris walked up to Adam's side and sat next to him.
"Adam," he shakily mumbled in a low and scared voice, "I....I don't know. I'm from Arkansas and they are very calm and mature and proper, all things that LA people seem not to be. It's just that I'm not used to people like you. You are fine, Adam, and I don't ever want to put off that you aren't....and if I do, well, just know that I don't mean it."
"Kris, if you want, we can switch rooms."
"NO!"
Adam jumped and then looked at Kris with the most unreadable expression Kris had ever seen a person have. He just stared. Kris laid his hand on Adam's leg and sighed.
"I'm just gonna'......um.....go..."
"Kris, please, I don't want to make you feel...awkward, I guess. If I've been coming on a little too strong...that can change. I can easily act calm and...well, I have to work on being mature and proper."
Kris giggled loudly and patted Adam's knee.
"We have all the time we need. I'm gonna' enjoy staying with you, Adam."
Adam smiled and looked down at Kris's hand, letting out a small unsteady breath.
"I really am too, Kris. I really am."
The End :D
