I am never going to Tortola!

This is from a dear friend who works for a cruise line....

I've have been busy this cruise with the OLIVIA charter group. They wanted music in the lounges, during dinner and for a few private parties. They provided
their own guest entertainers for the evenings' shows. A fun group!

They DID however have to change the itenerary from our normal. Our usual itenerary takes us to an island called Tortola. The charter group changed that to St. Maarten instead. I was told that some years ago, when they tried going to Tortola during a previous OLIVIA charter many locals strongly and loudly protested the ship's arrival complete with signs. This was obviously uncomfortable for the ladies and a bit of an embarassment for the company. Tortola is not as prosperous a place as St. Maarten and needs the money yet they do not want this group of travelers on their island.

What a bunch of closed minded, mean, ignorant, tragically uneducated culture! PHOOEY!
