We made it to Kansas yesterday! The mountains were cool leaving Santa Fe, which eventually turned into fields..lots and lots of fields. A lot of the little towns we passed through were so depressing..so many things boarded up and deserted and sad looking. Probably the only things keeping them alive are cows and/or grain production. Yesterday Aunt Gina and I went "lake hopping" haha. There are 4 lakes around here but we only had time for 3. Then we went back to the hotel and mom came back soon after. Yesterday mom and I went to Bricktown..it's this district thing downtown. There are restaurants, a mile long canal, a movie theater, etc. We ate lunch at an Italian restaurant and then took a "water taxi" on the canal. The guide told us about the restaurants and stuff. Hey I'm in our hotel in Oklahoma City! We left at 4 or 5 something but got stuck in traffic on the way to Denton. I had this Uncle John's Bathroom Reader fact book and mom and I had fun with that haha. So mom didn't tell me the Red River was coming up till we were like 3 seconds away! Tomorrow I am going to Oklahoma City! Mom has a class for work there. We may come back to Texas on the weekend though..if not I think Aunt Julie and her kids are gonna visit us at the hotel! Hopefully the hotel has internet access so I can go online when mom's at her class. Or I could go to places around the hotel if there's anything good..

I'm baaack! It wasn't the best or worst trip but it was definitely fun at times. I saw tons of churches...five even had bells! ONE OF THEM WAS IN MY CITY OMG!!!! I didn't get a good look but I swear I saw a bell...EEEE! I obsessed waaay too much over the churches haha. I have pics too. I shall show the pics and tell what we did tomorrow ( Read more... )
