Yesterday mom and I were going to dinner when we saw this big plume of black smoke. Being the curious people we are we had to check it out haha. A few months ago they tore down these apartment buildings and the fire was burning in the rubble. The firefighters kept pouring water on it but it kept spreading..yikes. One of the restaurants in Fairbanks burned down! It must have happened after I got home cause I go by the restaurant on the way home and it was fine. I had never eaten there but mom told me the food wasn't good. Everyone got out ok and they plan to rebuild. North Texas is in a major drought right now...every night on the news there's been reports of new grass fires somewhere...it hasn't rained in a few months and I really wish it would...I live near the woods and a park and I really hope the woods don't catch on fire cause it would be majorly creepy...*cries* I don't want my house to catch on fiiiire ( Read more... )

Yesterday someone's house in my neghborhood caught on fire. It was arson (someone told me it went from nothing to a raging inferno in 15 minutes...houses don't burn like that on their own).
