1. How have you recently kept yourself in check? Ummm..I didn't buy red velvet cake at the store the other day, even though it looked delicious haha
2. What’s the closest thing to a castle you’ve been in? Windsor Castle, which was interesting
3. What were the circumstances the last time you were hoarse? I woke up and hadn't drank water or anything yet
4. What’s your favorite song by Queen? "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Under Pressure," etc
5. For what will you likely pay a king’s ransom in the near future? Well..a couple weeks ago I ordered a four-poster bed online from England, but I hadn't said anything yet because I was worried they wouldn't ship to Alaska and the supply chain issues and stuff (that happened to mom, and had to get her money refunded), but today they sent me a message saying it should be delivered between Dec. 2-6 (though it hasn't shipped yet), so I THINK it's ok to finally mention it! Here's what it looks like:
I looked at other ones, but kept coming back to this one (mine will be a different color, kind of reddish). Waiting has been tortuous and exciting at the same time haha, I want it so badly! I hope it fits in my room lol (oh, and to answer the question, the bed it expensive, so I'm paying it off in segments). I'm very amused the name of the company is "GetLaidBeds" haha!
Thanksgiving yesterday was fun! Most of Jo's core group of friends came over (Maeve, Logan, etc)..I was worried they'd be too loud because they're very outgoing, but they weren't too bad this time..being full probably moderated them haha. Abby wasted no time in demanding to be held and pet LOL. After we ate yummy food we walked on the frozen lake with Sid (I mentally claimed one of the islands for myself LOL). Logan was like "I can't believe I live in Alaska!!" (It's his first winter!) After everyone left mom and I watched Plains, Trains and Automobiles, the best Thanksgiving movie! An amusing end to a fun day lol
Wednesday was Donna's last day as the Administrative Assistant at work..she's also tired and wants to do other things, like painting and spending more time with her grandchildren. She said she still wants to volunteer in the bookstore though, which is cool..her book knowledge is huge! Adam, who replaced her, is younger and has more energy. Heidi used to work with him somewhere else, so she asked if he'd like to work at the Literacy Council, and he said yes. Hopefully he'll have fun and do well!

Heather M loves trees. In fact, she knows more than 217 trees! Her favorites are Junipers, sycamores, palms, ponderosa pines, magnolias, mimosas, ginkoes, and Japanese maples. She wants to be a Botanist or a forrester when she grows up. She says bristlecone pine named Methusila is the oldest tree in the world, 4,700 years old. That means when the an[c]ient Egyptians were building their pyramids, that tree sprouted!! She also says the tallest trees in the world are Giant Redwoods. They are more than 300 ft tall!! They can only get killed by people or storms. Their fireproof, disease proof, and bug proof! Their bark is 2 or 3 feet thick. She is totally amazing that she knows all about trees!!

Write about things that are difficult for you. Give examples
Math is difficult for me. I worked on it the whole summer so it will probably be easier for me. Saying please and thank you are hard for me because I am Autistic. Presenting in front of the class is hard for me too because I am shy and embarassed. Something that is also difficult for me is not getting obssessed with everything I like! I always manage to get obssessed with it! I’ve been obssessed with Grapevine Mills, Titanic, watching the washing machine (when I was little), holly, and more! My brother says I get obssessed with the stupidest things! He says Piccadilly Circus is a stupid thing to get obssessed with! Well, my mom says it’s ok! She says she doesn’t mind. Well, those are just some of the things I have trouble with

The 1 thing I would change about myself is my hair. I think it is way too short for my liking. Mom made me cut my hair. The 1 thing I would not change about myself is my hands. I think I have nice hands. [Really? Now I feel like they’re ugly compared to most people’s] I can write with my left and right hand, even though I am right handed. And my fingernails look pretty when I have pink nail polish on them. I am grateful for trees [and] plants. They give us oxygen and are cool. I am also grateful for Jesus because he died on the cross for us. I am also grateful for Electronics and Digital stuff! I don’t know what I would do without those things! They would describe me as nice. I am a nice person
[Not dated]
The first thing I would do is go back to my house. I would buy all the electronic stuff they had back then. TV, radio, and other stuff. If I was cooped up for 2 years I would read, sleep, and write in my Jornal. I would be totally bored! I don’t think I could live without TV or computers or all that digital stuff! (They had computers back then, only they wern't very good and were huge, and were very expensive.) When I got home I would probably play outside and do all that stuff I [said] on the top of the page

I was at school when the events of September 11, 2001 occured. I didn’t even know about it untill my friend Kelly told me about it. [I still remember the look of horror and concern on her face.] I know somebody that is in New Jersy, and her dad was i[n] New York City when it happened! I felt interested at first, because I wanted to see the news, then I felt annoyed because they showed it all the time. Now, I have visited Ground Zero for myself, and now I feel sad. The terrorists did change our country, but in a good way, not in a bad way like they planned it to be. We are a stronger country, not a divided country

I know so many trees, it would probably take 5 pages to write them all. I have a tree list, it is 3 pages front and back, but that is bigger paper than the paper in this spiral. My favorite trees are Junipers, sycamores, palms, ponderosa pines, magnolias, mimosas, ginkoes, and Japanese maples and fishtail palms. The trees I don’t like are silver maples, cottonwoods, post oaks, [see! I wonder what caused me to start hating them a year later?] and Osage Oranges. I really like the palm trees in California and the tropics. My favorites are Canary Island date palms, (you can hide behind them when your dad is trying to videotape you! [LOL I remember that :P]) California fan palms, Chinese fan palms, windmill palms, Medetranean or European fan palms, sago palms, ponytail palms, Aracea palms, coconut palms, Mexican fan palms, date palms, King Palms, raffia palms and Queen Palms. I love all palms, but those are my favorites

Feelings about The Diary of Anne Frank
I learned that you should have a positive attitude no matter what situation you are in. Anne Frank always had a positive attitude. While she was in hiding, she never gave up hope that they would go back to their normal lives. I think everyone needs to have a positive attitude like Anne Frank had

Where you a “difficult child” like Red Chief? Explain. If you were not, describe yourself as a child
I was both a difficult child and was not a difficult child. I am usually a nice person, but there’s exeptions. One time I made my brother do something gross because I said I did it once…I dug my nails into him a lot back then, [wtf..] but I got in trouble all the time. I am nice to my brother, too. I let him win on Star Wars Monopoly all the time...Another nice thing is we play Star Wars Monopoly and Mancala a lot

Have you ever been loenly or alone?
Yes, I have been loenly. At recess when I was at Elementary School I hardly ever had anyone to play with. I am always home alone, and I like it. There is a difference between being lonley and being alone. Lonley is where you want to do something but the other people do[n’t] and they go somewhere else and your lonley. Alone is where, like if you are home alone nobody’s there. Alone is where there is nobody there. [How much did my teacher cringe reading this?? OMG D:] I like being home alone, but I don’t like being loenly

I’m not afraid of monsters, but I am afraid of black things in my bedroom doorway and hallway. [I don’t know what the floating black things were, but I only ever saw them there. Weird. O_o] My next door neighbor only scares me when he drives speeding fast around the corner of the street and speeding down the street called Wolcott (a short street) with his music blaring loud. I wonder why his parents don’t do anything about it. And the other teenager there scares me because he’s a police officer and he washes his car every day! I’m not afraid of any made up monster, but I think I used to be afraid of vampires sneaking up on me in the middle of the night and sucking my blood and turning me into a vampire. I’m not afraid of monsters anymore
