Gabrielle's alone when she knocks on Karla's door, she's left Aiden with Chaosti while she goes to see Karla. She wants to make sure that her friend is holding up all right, and she's been wondering if there's anything they can do to cheer everyone up a little. She knocks lightly on the door. "Karla?"
Karla has told a few people by now. It doesn't seem to be getting easier, though. Shouldn't it get easier?
"Come in," she says, softly. The window is open, and she is wondering if it might be best to move. This room is full of memories, even if they never shared it.
Gabrielle immediately steps forward and pulls Karla into a tight hug. She doesn't ask what's wrong yet, either Karla will tell her or she'll ask later, right now her friend needs a hug.
"--Armand's gone," she says, finally, exploding out of her with force, "Gone, completely gone. Like he was never here at all, the room is empty, Etienne's gone, everything's-"
"I don't know. I don't know. I wish I did." She feels very grateful right now that Chaosti is with her, and wishes that there was someone, or something that could actually be blamed for these things.
"I just - I don't know what to do," she says, sounding on the verge of crying all over again, her breath hitching and trying desperately hard not to. "I don't know what to do now."

She turns around. It's probably clear that she's been crying.

She makes a hiccuping noise that is more like a sob than anything Karla ever does, typically.
