My study of this island has been fruitful at least, if a bit dull. If the Superior were here, we could formulate a better plan to make use of this information. As it is,
Hypotheses, initially backed up by basic data gathering, are as listed for reference:
1. Salkia Island is a nexus world. The mix of residents here seems to endorse that fact, as does the ability to use magic and other resources from these other worlds. It is a possibility that as the Corridors of Darkness seem to be locked to traveling between points on this world only, that there could be a key or a doorway of some sort locking the residents in. More inquiry is required.
2. The beasts and flora of this world do not seem to be related. The fauna is generally similar to the base model. Grasses, trees, and flowers all of previously documented species. No evident harm seems to have come from cutting them/killing them. The beasts, however, are unique to the area. It is unable to be determined whether or not these creatures attack for a certain purpose other than for food, but they seem to have no distinguishing characteristics/abilities that put them above any other world's creatures. They are unique, but no more than that. The companion animals available are very much the same as on other worlds, yet there is no evidence of their specific wild counterparts. More inquiry is required, and the record will be continued for research purposes.
3. The residents have brought the darkness of their hearts with them, yet there is only one Heartless here, that of Sora. They seem to kill each other here without much remorse, affected by the fact that death is not a permanent state. Losing one's heart, however, must be if those of us from Organization XIII and the Keybearer's heartless are to exist. There are those here who would make strong Nobodies. Those here who would have strong hearts to offer. The question of what would happen to those who lose their hearts here needs to be investigated. If there could be a way to gain access for the Superior, who I cannot assume to be defeated as VIII claims, and if we could channel some of the darkness in the strongest hearts here...even the Keybearer and the Mouse King's combined strength could give way. More inquiry is required, especially into the nature of the darkness that is so strong here. It will be easier to use when the time comes if it is gathered now.
It is, of course, the nature of this Island that my most recent samples of the newly found flora have disappeared. I am only happy that dreadful lab coat has done the same. It seems I have been moved as well, though thankfully once again far from my once-colleagues, even if I am speanding little time in my place of residence now.
Mr...Motomiya, is it? I expect there will be few problems.
