1800 Bar & Restaurant - Santorini; Wed evening 5/7
After handwavily meeting up with Amber, G'Kar led her down the causeway and into Santorini. They walked for a bit, taking in the sights, slowly making their way to Oia, on the northern tip of the island. They passed by picturesque whitewashed houses as they made their way down the central pedestrian street.
Finally arriving at the 1800 Restaurant, G'Kar smiled at Amber. A beautiful old mansion that had been transformed into a sort of living museum and restaurant. Situated on the cliffs, it offered a magnificent view of the sea and he hoped she would like it.
As they walked through the mansion, G'Kar took particular interest in the architecture of the building. There were some very distinctive cross vaults in its two living rooms and most of the furnishings were antiques. Santorinian sofas made of walnut wood were there, a mirror with a golden-plaster motif, carved curtain rails, and a Venetian bed from Russia. G'Kar took note of the name carved onto a wooden travel chest, 'Ioannis Sarris 1849'. He might have to look that person up when he returned to Fandom.
They were escorted to the roof garden by a waiter and G'Kar offered a chair to Amber as any gentleman would. "I hope it is to your liking," he smiled at her. " Happy Birthday."
