The Future Quakes
So what the fuck,
Just talked to my buddy Chas from JMU who tried to get me in the school. An interesting turn of events occurred. Chas inquired about my grad school status, which I angrily answered that I hadn't heard back. He then told me that the other grad student under Mark Hudy may be leaving for the summer, and may need some extra help for a summer job. Thus, I may have a summer job.
Furthermore, Chas told me that Christine May, another professor in the Bio program, is super pissed because she didn't get any grad students. So... Chas is thinking that I work with Mark this summer, and then get into their grad school under Dr. May in the fall. The chances of all this actually coming together are.. very very slim. I would need Morgan the grad student to get the job she's applying for, then I would have to talk to Christine about going under her, and then I would somehow.. have to talk with the Grad School... about letting me in?
While a summer job would be great, I am getting sick of JMU fucking with me. It is cool, though, that Mark Hudy is looking out for me and does want me in the school. The shitty thing is that he opted to give up funding for another grad student to sponsor an assistantship for somebody...
