I talked with Good Sam. She can't guarantee me anything, er, maybe, er something, but I should keep in touch. Does she seriously have no idea when her interns will be coming and going? How very odd. Is she seriously this wishy washy? Or does she not really want me and is trying to be polite?? Ugh. She's way more likely to be able to take me if I can wait until January, which I could, but probably not any longer than that, if I ever want to graduate.
In other news, I've decided to expand my business. Not only is my license coming in the mail (yay!), but I have a tax ID number and permission to make a sign in front of my house. A few of you know that I have a Liveperson account to do tarot readings on, well, I'm expanding it to a phone service too. I'm going to try Keen and a few other call services to get going from a lot of places. After calculating and weighing the pros and cons, I've gone with Skype as my phone service, and purchased unlimited US/Canada calling for $2.99/month and a phone number so folks can call me from their landlines for $7/month. Seems like very little to overhead. I'm home at least three days a week, usually writing and doing classwork. I can keep my Skype on then and be prepared to take calls and chat sessions. Not sure what kind of advertising I should do.
For my website, I want to change it to a more "sandbox" kind, where I can fiddle with the layout, put on ads, etc. I want to pay someone to do it for me, because I really don't know how to do it. Know anyone with experience on Wordpress websites? I know I'll have to start paying for that too, but if I'm going to make any money off my website, I have to be able to do what I want with it. I can advertise my own services and collect money on it as well. There are many plans and much to do. I'm stalled at the moment because I've spent what little money I have. But payday is coming up, and since I paid off some outstanding debts, I'm feeling good about investing in myself.
