A Warehouse in the Abandoned Warehouse District, Monday Night
Amelia had spent the rest of the night, after running across the monster with fire for a face, hiding.
She was honest enough to totally admit that was what it had been. She'd slept, but only fitfully, in bits and spurts, and when morning had come around, and Sparkle had shown up like normal, Amelia hadn't been in her bed, nor in any place he could see her.
He'd stuck around for a little, looking for her, but Amelia had managed to clamber up into the rafters and, with her black coat pulled up to cover her hair, she had been effectively invisible and dead silent, and eventually he'd gone away.
Once he'd left, Amelia ate, because she wasn't going to let food go to waste, even though having her belly full had made her sleepy enough to drowse for a few hours despite her best efforts.
When she woke up, Amelia had carefully ventured outside, exploring the warehouse district once more, to make sure there were no unexpected monsters lurking there and also double (and triple) checking that she knew as many of the exits and entrances to the area as possible.
When night fell, she headed back to her warehouse and debated if she was going to hide from Sparkle again or not.
It was really too bad that he was waiting for her, as she ducked into the warehouse.
