Or possibly just read the
book he'd suggested out loud to him and see how he liked it. Of course, he was suspect anyway as having suggested the book in the first place.
But she'd get around to killing him later, because Rosalind had wandered out of her cabin to sit on the steps and read. And she'd promised her mother at least an hour's worth of 'fun' a week.
This wasn't fun, but she was certainly going to count it. Muttering under her breath at the stupidity of the heroine, Rosalind read on.
If anyone pointed out the fact that she was actually outside to read the thing, well, Rosalind would deny vehemently that she'd gone outside in the hopes of company.
(But she had. That was how bad the book was.)
