Science Meet-up had gone well, and Scully was considering new projects to keep herself busy outside of classes. Maybe that gremlin anti-venom people kept wanting? Maybe.
She got back to her room and was opening the door when the tremor hit, which made her grab the doorframe and wait, suspicious, before entering.
She smiled when she saw her roommate. "Did you feel that?"
"I did," Rosalind said, glancing over her shoulder and away from the window. "It's peculiar, though. Do you know if the island is near any fault lines?"
"It's not supposed to be on this coast. At least not in my reality," Scully answered, shutting the door and heading over to her laptop, frowning as she started to pull up information.
"The last close one was over 400 miles away, over thirty years ago." She paused and looked up. "Fandom... thing? Possibly?"

After all, it had been only a tiny little tremor.
