A travelling sales representative from some random publisher dropped by today to pass along a sample of his wares and a proposition in order to appeal to a greater variety of customers than the norm.
Here is an excerpt from the sample of his wares-- a book entitled A Cleansweep Liaison. Taken from the back cover.
When Quidditch legend Luke Wakefield is attacked and left for dead by a masked man in a black cloak minutes before a game, his breath-taking daughter Serena is determined to find the man responsible for the attack at all costs. Enlisting the help of enigmatic hit wizard Bryce Logan was simply a matter of practicality. She certainly didn't like anything about him-- not his arrogance, or his cynicism, or the way her heart beat faster around him. And Bryce certainly had better things to do than to cater into the whims of a hysterical female Seeker. Even if she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen...
Apparently it would be a clever business decision to stock tomes such as these in Quality Quidditch Supplies so that the fluffy-hearted types who otherwise would never enter a Quidditch shop would buy from us, too.
I really miss the good old days when the only sales representatives who stopped by were there to pass along relevant information on new broom models. And I think I want that minute of my life back.
