(no subject)
I thought I would try to write a short entry tonight, just to update a little bit. I'm going to try not to ramble, so bear with me.
It has been about a month since my last entry. During that month, I probably had some of the best times. I successfully completed the second summer session at LOYNO, continued to work at the starbucks cart (until today. it was my last day until school starts), and I spent a lot of time with my Deuce. I, of course, have to devote some time in this entry to him.
He continues to amaze me everyday. I fall for him more and more everyday. Everyday that we spent together was pure joy. I have not been this happy and content in a VERY long time. One other amazing thing is that my parents actually like him. They have tolerated other guys that I've dated in the past just to make me happy. But, THEY ACTUALLY LIKE THIS ONE. It's just a totally different vibe. They want to get to know him. He WANTS to be liked by them, it is very important for him. He never wants to make a bad impression and always looks out for my best interest when it comes to them.
He left for Morehouse on the 10th (which also marked our one month anniversary. or as he likes to say, our lunaversary). Yes, I did shed some tears during our hour long good-bye. But, I'm a tough cookie and I am ok today. It does not take much to please me, so I am looking forward to the random calls, text messages, facebook messages, and visits during the semester.
Summer session was not as bad as I thought it would be. I heard a lot of horror stories about it, but I did just fine. I was pretty proud of myself :) I took two classes. Yes, it was tiring and stressful at times but it wasn't anything I could not handle. I was expecting the worse, but was proven wrong. Oh, and as an added bonus for my successful summer, my mom decided to treat me to a blazer from American Eagle. That was pretty exciting for me since I have been eyeing this thing for weeks.
The starbucks cart worked out pretty well. It had its moments. Man, people can get pretty ugly if they don't have their coffee. I'm not exactly sure what's going on over there in the Danna Center, but, as far as the cart goes, dining services definitely needs to get their act together. It is very un-organized. Some things definitely need to be re-assessed. At the same time, I can't complain too much. I had fun. Overall, it was a easy, fulfilling, and worthwhile experience.
Well, so much for the short entry. The summer is not over yet. I still have friends to see and naughty things to do. I'm joking. LOL. Hopefully there will be another entry once school starts. I can't promise anything, but I'll do my best.
