I was just bitching to
hotcrab last night that I never get to cook anymore and then, lo and behold, the one friend I have who's always totally amped for me to make dinner came over with a bottle of Bulgarian (!) wine. I have to make do with the random stuff I have around the house right now so dinner ended up consisting of marinated chicken topped with sweet onions and cinnamon along side potatoes mashed with saffron, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. It all turned out surprisingly well. Ten points for Wednesdays.
