Well, that was a doozy, huh?
If you live in the Northeast, then you probably got some snow this weekend. If you live in/around Boston, you got about two feet of it. It was crazy- the T shut down all services and the Mayor and Governor instituted a ban on driving. We couldn't go anywhere (and who would want to!), so we stayed inside and drank wine and cooked.
I tried to get some pics of the before and after. I couldn't get my screens up because they were iced shut! SO I apologize for the screen getting in the way of some of them!

Gordon and our upstairs neighbor Alessio cleared a path in front of the house
Now, this was staggering. We have a tiny dead end street on the side of our house. It didn't get plowed til Sunday morning. Gordon and Alessio didn't bother digging out the cars until that happened.
They had planned on trying to hack away at the mammoth chunk of snow leftover for the next few days. They started and then amazingly, a bunch of neighbors came over to help!
Look at that! We were so grateful for everyone's help. We hadn't even met most of them until today.
Well, I guess the T is back up and running fully as of tomorrow so I'll have to go back to work. It's supposed to rain tomorrow- can you believe that?? So now we cross our fingers and hope that the roof does its job!! Hope everyone's got power and staying warm!
