Hello, anyone who has been interested in reading (or re-reading) my story Friday: It's now on AO3!
The whole thing hasn't been transferred quite yet as I'm doing it chapter by chapter, but the first four chapters are there and the whole thing is in the process of migrating. The link is right [
here].
I've moved a few other fics over there as well and will be moving some more, too. I like the organizational setup of AO3 and I'm hoping the whole tagging system will help other people find these older stories. I do have a question about the bookmarking feature, though. Does anyone know why on my "statistics" screen, it says that one of the stories has been bookmarked 17 times, but on that story it only shows 5? Is this some kind of glitch? A couple of the other bookmark numbers don't match up either, but that particular one has the biggest difference. I like going to the accounts of people who have bookmarked so that I can see what other stuff they're reading or posting, and I keep getting excited to see a new one but then trying to find who it was and it not actually being there.
I'm also still working on finishing up the (mostly) Spangel story Touch, which I never did post the ending to when I started it several years ago. It's always bothered me that I have so many unfinished stories and I think finishing this one will make me feel a whole lot better about my fannish experience, even though I know there aren't nearly as many readers in our fandom as there used to be. It's just always nice not to have something hanging over your head. I wish I had the time to finish all the unfinished projects I started years ago, but I'll have to start with this one and then just see what happens. I would feel bad if I let my original stuff sit wasting away by getting too caught up in fandom again.
I keep wondering if I missed reading any really good Angel stories while I was taking a break, but I don't know how to find out! I wish you could sort on AO3 by quality, heh. But if anyone knows some great fics featuring Angel that were written in the last 8 or so years, please drop a rec.
