Pansy often wondered how she'd gotten here.
Had anyone dared tell her years ago that one day she would have a civilised conversation, without the habitual disdain, with Hermione Granger, Pansy would've laughed at their face. No, she would probably have hexed them into the next generation.
That would have been an insult!
Pansy Parkinson was a Slytherin to the core. She came from a long lineage of pure blood wizards and witches, just like it should be. Pansy would never think of associating with a Mudblood.
Let alone that Mudblood.
She wouldn't, or would she?
Pansy looked over the rim of her mug of tea at the woman in front of her. Hermione seemed to notice and smiled at her.
"What is it, Pansy?" Hermione asked, softly.
"Nothing," Pansy lied, leaning in closer and pressing her lips against Hermione's.
It didn't really matter how she had gotten here. What really mattered was that she had, and Pansy Parkinson loved her life as it was now.
