13.21 I Don't thoughts...

Firstly, many thanks to Jo for uplaoding the clips.  I also downloaded the whole bunch of caps in there, and may well do some icons tomorrow if the mood takes me.

Everything was very true to character; from the very off.  Abby's inital responses were hilarious, especially the "This is like getting married in a MeatLoaf video!"   Also, Luka sitting there, nervously twiddling his thumbs, offering to do anything else for Abby - bless.  Please don't throw things at me, but actually, my often wandering mind would have been so intruiged to see what would have prevailed if Abby had said, I don't want to get married like this, please take me home!  Yes, it would have fucked up that episode entirely, but where would they have gone from there?  Anyway...
The seven years reference was so good, not just because it felt like a shoutout to us fans, because, as I'm sure I said at FF, it takes into account not just the time they have been together, but the time they spent apart: which was just as important to the whole story.

Baby Joe in the little white suit was so adorable.

Hope literally having to shove Abby down the aisle, the bickering with the flower girl - I'm so glad there were so many moments of humour throughout.

The rabbi was such a riot, also, it was so refreshing to not have the whole thing played completely straight.

Even though I had read plenty of the vows bit in the spoilers, I still had a few tears, it was so beautifully written and performed.  Loved Luka's bit about strengths and faults, because I guess he did mess a few things up royally this season, and Abby's vow bit was so well done also, and convincingly off-the-cuff. And I love Maura's voice when Abby is being sincere, it seemed to make it even more emotional.

The first dance.  Stevie.  Manna from heaven for me.  If it had been Ribbon in the Sky I might have left the planet permanently for a moment!  Luka's line "I hear every word that you say.." - again, it was all so very sincere and heartfelt.  Not even cutting from that moment to Gates on the phone with Sarah ruined it for me.

Dubenko's cheetah comment was so hilarious - more screen time for him next season please people.

Neela seemingly is irrestistable to all - the expression on her face after Mai-Lee kissed her was hilarious.

The ongoing Neela/Gates/Ray saga was already tedious; but I'm glad Neela finally had a go at Gates, and she was right that he did have to realise that some things were indeed very much his fault.  Liked that in a way, this was compartmentalised from everything else by having all those rooms.

Pratt's speech was nicely done, yet another character that has just grown so much throughout.

Harsh that Ray got hit by a truck though.  I think he has been another character that TPTB have just started to develop, interesting to see what will happen next.  I hope that it will end all the triangular stuff though.

Did TPTB feel that Luka and Abby shouldn't have a wedding night after very much getting the wedding night in "I Do?"

Glad that hope and Morris are together - were they before this ep, though? Forgive me, we're up to 13.16 here.

All in all though, a really well-done ep, I always thought that a good Luka/Abby wedding would forever only appear in fic, but no, it happened in the programme and it was unconventional, funny and sentimental, very good indeed.
