Day 3 was quite mellow with the programme not starting till 11am. I, however, woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep so by 5.30 I gave in and got up and read Fire Watch by Connie Willis. Today I attended the con. This is the first time I have ever gone to a con by myself, without a friend to hang onto or a dealer's table to work behind. As in the first time I have gone to a con and never met anyone at it in person before. I figured that would be fine, I'd attend the programming. I came down to breakfast with my laptop because the Lobby has free wifi and yesterday I caught up on emails and gchatted with maelkann whilst having breakfast. It *was* 6 am though. Well, I am well and truly ensconced in my hotel room in Washington DC.
