Though some of the deaths totally lost their power in moving from book to movie.

I was actually quite glad about this, because the deaths were absolutely devestating for a lot of fans. If more time had been spent of them, the movie would have been about the tragedy, not about the hero. Which may have been a better film, but it wasn't what the "Harry Potter" series started as.

I would have cried even more if they'd lingered on Fred's loss.

I guess for me, I got increasingly irritated with Harry as Hero because I didn't see him that way. So an increase on focus on him for me is a less interesting story.
