Losing a beloved pet is hard and it takes time to move beyond the grief you're experiencing. Give yourself the time you need. Benji was an important part of your life.

Hugs always offered.

Losing a pet is always far more difficult than people realise. It's been several years now since we had a dog, and I still tear up when we come across a lead or a photo unexpectedly. Please don't punish yourself, and don't plan too much as a diversion.

Same. Its been over 2 years since Obie died and I still can't talk about him without welling up. His sheepskin still lies on the foot of our bed.

In hindsight we probably should've got another dog soonish after Obes but we didn't and now I wonder if we ever will again... and we have both always had dogs.

I don't think I'll wait too long but I want to be respectful of Benji and everything he meant to us first.

I am so sad about your puppy, I loved reading about him, he was gorgeous and naughty and a bundle of fun. I am sorry for your loss.
