We were talking a bit about it yesterday and can I just say that I really hate April Fool's Day. It's not just that it gives a bunch of people license to pull out jokes that aren't funny. I actually disagree with you - I think it's a fine tradition, particularly as it's played out in the media and the corporate world.

I look at it like this - the morning of April 1 is the time of the year when you have to pay skeptical attention to everything you hear and read, lest you look like a fool.

That can't be a bad thing - if there was a bit more of that for the rest of the year, we maybe wouldn't have some of the problems we do.
