Epically tired. Ok, maybe not epically, but the insomnia is running pretty rampant.
Here is the good thing about my day:
Lots of coffee.
I've been avoiding Starbucks just because it's cheaper to make my own at home & take it with me in a thermos to work/school/wherever.
But this morning, because I slept late because I didn't fall asleep until maybe 3am or so, so I didn't make a lunch or make coffee before I left. I just went to Starbucks, but that trip wasn't the exciting part. That time I just got an Americano. The exciting part is that later on in the day, a co-worker went to Starbucks and I got another caffeinated beverage because I was/am really that tired (and also because I actually had cash in my wallet, which only occurs once in a blue moon). This time I got a soy pumpkin spice latte -- totally more delicious than an Americano. And it combines several of my favorite elements: soy milk, pumpkin flavor, and caffeine. So that was a win. Not really feeling the effects of the caffeine at this point, though, which is unfortunate because I have lots to do.
Shortly before the end of my work day, I got a call from Erin, who was looking for someone with a AAA membership to help her get her keys out of her car. Conveniently, she lives in Dixon, which is halfway between my internship & home, so I was able to stop by her new house and hang out for a bit. We called AAA, and the first guy that came (in his tow truck) couldn't get the keys out himself, and so he called a second guy (who also showed up in his tow truck). We met some of Erin's neighbors, who drove by slowly and also came out of their houses to watch the spectacle, so that was pretty funny.
The end.
