You probably know as much (or more?) as I do when it comes to computer hardware-land. But I do have to ask, are you sure you installed the floppy drive correctly? Some drives aren't exactly clear as to which way you plug in the IDE cable. AFAIK, the red wire of the IDE cable should be facing outwards.

Vista isn't as bad people make it out to be. I've been using it for a lil over a year and I've been fairly satisfied with it. :)

Which way is outwards? like up or down? Or you mean on the motherboard end? I will give it a try tomorrow when I'm less fed up with it. Wasn't able to find drivers for my hard drive either. The hitachi website itself says "the drivers are embedded on the install disc", while at the same time letting me know that I can only install from my A: drive at that point in time. Fuckers. At least everything is zipzipping along while I wait.

What doesn't make sense about it?
