Aw dangit. And he had Civ II too!! I should've chosen that instead of Civ III. Maybe it wouldn't've crashed in ten minutes either.

Nope, probably not. Civ II is less graphics-heavy (and, if you aren't playing test of time, isn't 3D). And you can choose from a lot more civilizations (and pick your own name and gender).
