The last week has been exhausting, even before the mishap of Gunthar's kidneys. Oof.
Yesterday, I woke up groggy and found out the electricity was knocked out around 4:00 a.m. I slept through the storm completely. Not surprising. I would have, even if sleep deprivation in the last couple of days hadn't been an issue. I slept through the tornado that swept up three houses on the next block when I was a kid.
We went out and saw a few shows yesterday--Mask of the Illuminati (good even though I had a few problems with the accents), John & Abbigail (very nice), and Take a Left at the Giant Cow (awesome!)--then Gunthar took off to see Vilification Tennis (sorry, Ethel!) while I stayed at the Pillsbury House to see The Honeymoon Period is Officially Over and The FUNeral. FUNeral was fun, but Honeymoon was wonderful. I used my hard-earned Gold comps to make sure I'd get into that one and Take a Left, and I was really glad I did. The crowds for both shows were enormous.
Today, I'll finish up the last of my Fringe volunteering, then on to use my paid ticket to Macbeth's Awesome Castle Party and the Closing Night party, and then--I promise--I'll get some sleep. At this point, I'm very glad I'm only working part time.
Next week, I need to clean. It's making me very unhappy to see all this stuff lying all over the place. Plus, I need to make real food instead of grabbing snacky stuff and running out the door.
It's about time for boring.
