Well, the cancer's out.
My doctor took the carcinoma off the surface, but of course that means taking a bit of healthy tissus with it. He also sliced my tongue open to make sure there was nothing lurking. Last week, I was trying to avoid biting cancer. Now, I'm trying to avoid biting my stitches. Not any better.
The doctor will probably do a biopsy on my lymph nodes next week. It sounds like a "just in case" thing, and, most likely, I won't be talking much or eating nothing more than milkshakes and soup. For getting rid of cancer, I am feeling very fortunate.
Now, I'm sitting in
stark0228's office, waiting to edit. That also means I'm not scoring third grade papers anymore. Woot! : )
