My CAT scan is negative. Neg-a-tive. Sing with me!
My Gunthar treated me to a celebratory waffle with lots of bacon. My Pook knows me well. : )
I'll lose a tiny chunk of my tongue, just in front of the place where it joins my throat. May 21: day surgery, local anethesia, sore throat for about a week. Of course, I'm not looking forward to it, exactly, but thinking about the alternatives... Not going there thankyouverymuch.
I found out transplant recipients have a habit of getting mouth, throat, or skin cancer. It sounds like my 20 years of smoking may not have been a contributing factor, considering I quit 10 years ago, but no one really ever knows this stuff.
The doctor will do a biopsy on my lymph nodes the week after the surgery, and they'll be watching me for a few years. Like I'm never far from the clinic anyway?
Edit to add: Thank you for all your wishes for exactly what I got this morning. I'm pretty sure it worked. : )
