Friends!
First of all, I'd like to give special kisses to all my new friends who I got to know through that fabulous friending meme over at
maple_mahogany's LJ. I'm talking about:

Maybe I should tell you stuff about myself? I'm a 22 year-old Harry Potter fan girl who got into the books pretty early but discovered fandom pretty late. I'm still a bit disappointed at myself for not checking the intarwebs for non-academic stuff when I was still in school. Because of my nerdiness I missed making really swell friendships with fellow fan girls. I'm just now catching up with the friend-ing, and the fandom wank of course. Hee.
I work as an economic journalist which is really boring and cool at the same time. Huh? Well I'm a nerd, so there. I'm pretty laid-back about most stuff--I don't have that much of a fashion sense, don't put on make up or moisturizer or stuff like that, and don't always put my socks where they should be. (Yes I'm really female.) But I can be pretty anal about other things--my handwriting looks like a computer font because I hate uneven letters and my to do lists have several sub-levels. I also love, love, love to take down notes.
Aside from being a journalist, I am a volunteer day care teacher. I handle four and five year olds who are ♥ ♥ ♥. They are so smart, and cute, and cuddly and I love them to bits. But they can be right little shits as well. I still love them though. Meeting with them is the highlight of my week. I'm a bit of a sports buff. I love playing badminton, basketball, and indoor football. Badminton I play twice a week; basketball I used to play regularly when I was in high school; indoor football I occasionally play with my friends.
I also love to cook and bake. But I've very little time recently to do so, which is really sad, because cooking and baking give me a special high, much like pot but only legal. Heh.
My favorite Harry Potter character is Ron Weasley, that's not a very hard choice for me. Fighting fiercely for the top 2 spot are Severus Snape and Draco Malfoy, so I guess they'd just have to out-Slytherin each other. (Snape to win, yeah?) I also have a soft spot for Harry Potter, of course, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, and Charlie Weasley, the hottest Weasley brother apart from Ron.
I ship R/Hr (OTP), H/D, Draco/Ginny, Charlie/Tonks, Neville/Luna, Neville/Hufflepuff girl(s), Remus/Sirius. Of late, my attention has been reeled in by the following pairings: Ron/Pansy, Charlie/Draco and Snape/Luna. See, I hor the characters around. I'm sure they don't mind especially since they're getting bazillions more action than I am. Yey for TMI!
I am a beta for The Quidditch Pitch. I write occasionally, but nothing long and plotty because I am teh lazy that way. I am just learning how to comment, but I have read tonnes and tonnes of fic across all ships and kinks.
