I hate Mondays
So it turns out that there is primarily one negative student assistant and that a couple of people feed off her energy. I hate that sort of thing.
The Negative One comes in and tells me snottily this morning that she has work to do and cannot do anything for me. Okay. Negative's roommate (another student assistant) calls and tells me that she has 2 tests tomorrow and could she not come in this afternoon. Yes, that is fine. Negative calls in and says that something (no details, at all) has come up and she will not be coming in this afternoon. 3rd student assistant calls in and says that he does not want to come in either…hell to the NO!!!! 3rd student assistant is currently working. Apparently, he was kidding…he meant to come in the whole time and was just screwing with my head. Bastard!
Now I have done all the work that the student assistants should have taken care of since I didn’t think any of them were coming to work today and I have not taken care of the bulk of my own work. Of course, I am screwing off long enough to type this entry but since I took a 15 minute lunch break, I am okay with that.
