Employment Updates
I'm currently into my 3rd day of employment. So far, I like everyone I work with on a daily basis. They've removed the lights above my station and are running the rest of the immediate work area on emergency lighting only so it's significantly darker than the rest of the building but no one is complaining and since I didn't ask them to do it, I'm not apologizing for it (as I tend to do). I had to go to the eye doctor yesterday afternoon because I did burn my eye. I didn't realize how long it had been since I worked under florescent lights for any length of time and there are several thin areas on my eye and one of them burned. So now I have to wear dark sunglasses when I'm in sunlight and light but UV blocked sunglasses when I'm inside. I'm also supposed to have transition lenses put into all my future eyeglasses. My contacts have UV block on them and the burn is right outside the contact lens coverage area. Soo dumb.
At any rate, I'm still employed and sadly, am known as the "short but not easy" girl. Stupid memorable interviews.
