Picspam before crashing
I'm exhausted. It's been a good weekend, but a bit of a blur. I cleaned. I dissertated. I cooked. I visited my SiL as it was her birthday today.
In lieu of more words, here are a few pictures.
First, some tabbouleh that I made with loads of parsley from my CSA (there's also some salmon on the plate)
And here's the insulin pump I got to borrow over the long weekend to try out. I'm thinking of switching from the Minimed to the Animas. So far I like it, except they don't carry my preferred infusion set from Minimed and you can't cross-use. So I plan to start a one-woman campaign to get them to make the ones I want. But in the meantime, there are enough positive features to the Animas that I'm ready for the change. Weirdly enough, I took one pic last night and then took one again today in the daylight to compare how the color looks and they turned out to be exactly 12 hours apart.
FWIW, I think I'm gonna go for the pink model rather than the green (it also comes in black, blue and silver)
And here's Calliope sitting in a shoebox because really, who can resist a kitty in a box?
By some sort of strange coincidence, Jacques Brel came up three times from two separate friend streams this week. So I leave you with this. Though of course, l'amour n'est pas mort, IMO.
