Ginevra Molly Weasley
Oh baby you're a classic
Like a little black dress.
The Girl
Full name: Ginevra Molly Weasley. Do NOT call her Ginevra. She's very sore that her mum wanted a girl so bad she had 6 boys to get her, and they all got normal names, but no. She couldn't be bothered to pick out a normal name for her own daughter. She had to get Ginevra. It's Ginny. Just Ginny. In fact, unless you know her VERY well, chances are you don't know that Ginny ISN'T her real name.
Birthdate and age: 11 August, 1981 // 20
Sign: Leo.
Sexual orientation: Despite playing on a team known for signing lesbians, Ginny doesn't have any interest in being with another woman.
Marital Status: She's been dating Harry off and on since she was fifteen and steadily since seventeen. They both know they're going to get married eventually, but neither are in a rush.
Occupation: Chaser on the Holyhead Harpies
Alumnus: Gryffindor (1991-1998) // Hogwarts
Bloodline: Pureblooded. Or as Pure as any Wizarding family can be, really.
Hometown and current residence: Ginny was raised in her family home of The Burrow in Ottery St. Catchpole. After Hogwarts and being signed with the Harpies, Ginny got a flat with Hermione. However, now Hermione has married Ron and Ginny isn't quite ready to face the wrath of her mum about living unmarried with her boyfriend. Even if it IS Harry. So after Luna told her about Eutrepe's Corner, Ginny signed a lease. For flat 5B.
The Family
Father - Arthur Weasley. Arthur is Ginny's sanity. Strangely enough since 'sane' isn't the first thing people think when they meet him. But Arthur keeps her calm when she and her mum come to blows, and his advice is some of the only advice Ginny'll ever listen to.
Mother - Molly Weasley. There are few people Ginny argues with more than Molly. In Molly's mind Ginny is still - and will always be - her baby. And Ginny sees herself as all grown up and her mum's ideas as old fashioned. And unfortunately Ginny inherited her mum's temper.
Brother - Bill Weasley. The "good one." Prefect, married, perfect little babies. Even if he does have long hair and an earring. Ginny loves him but sometimes he drives her crazy with his perfect examples. Just because he and Fleur settled down early doesn't mean she has to.
Brother - Charlie Weasley. Hands down Ginny's favourite. This may or may not be because he's far enough away that he can't interfere in her life in a bad way, but still inclined to spoil her. She thinks all the boys should follow his example and move to Romania.
Brother - Percy Weasley. Even though it's been years since the war, Ginny is still unsure of her feelings for Percy. At one point in her first year she'd relied on him the most, but she's had trouble trusting him - and especially his judgment - ever since the war.
Brother - Fred Weasley. Unlike most people (in her family or otherwise) she has no problem talking about Fred. She loved him, and she misses him immensely... but Fred always wanted to be remembered and talked about. Not avoided and stepped around. So she won't shy away from his name or strike it out to save awkward silences or spare feelings. She thinks the dead are honored more by keeping them alive in everyday life, and she's determined not to let Fred's memory just fade out.
Brother - George Weasley. The brother famous for his jokes, Ginny has more fun trying to wind him up than any of her other brothers. He's a challenge and the results are always fun to witness. After Fred died Ginny stepped in and all but ran his joke shop during the summer and winter holidays and after she left Hogwarts, as well as constantly raining on his pity parties, trying to get George to come back to normal. She knows he'll never be the same since Fred's death, but she'll be damned if she loses him as well.
Brother - Ron Weasley. The closest brother in age to her, Ron is also the easiest to rile up. That makes it sometimes not as fun, but that doesn't mean she lets up. Ginny adores Ron and is so proud of him for everything he did during the war. Not that she'll ever tell him.
The Past
Personal Background: Blah blah war
Blah blah peace
Blah blah Harry
Blah blah Quidditch
The Outside
Height: 5'3". She didn't inherit her dad's height. Unfortunately. In fact she's kinda stocky like her mum.
Weight: She's a Pro-Quidditch player which means she's solid muscle at 130. However when she doesn't keep up on her exercise she has a tendency towards chunky.
Eyes: A bright and light brown. They look hazel in the sun though.
Hair: The signature Weasley red. Ginny loves her hair, she thinks it makes her stand out in a crowd or on the pitch.
Distinguishing Marks: When her jaw is set, her facial resemblance to George is striking. She also has freckles scattered across her face. She bears a number of scars from punishments endured during her 6th year at Hogwarts, like the thin burn scars around both of her wrists, a chunk of skin missing from her left shoulder, and several welts across her back.
Dress Style: Ginny likes comfortable. Stylish is good for going out, especially when you tended to get harassed by reporters, but when staying in Ginny likes t-shirts and sweat pants. Or even just her knickers. She's very comfortable in her body and as a Quidditch player has no problems with nudity or near nudity. In fact, she thinks its rather freeing to walk about in her skivvies.

Personality: When you ask Ginny's friends to describe her in a word, you will usually get "Funny." She isn't Fred and George, but she's funny in her own right. A talented mimic, Ginny can and will imitate anyone and everyone she meets. Her Umbridge imitation was so well known that she still gets asked to demonstrate it by former DA members after a few drinks. She's also had to learn to hold her own with Fred and George, so she's gotten quite good at taking and running with a joke. In fact chances are if you pull a prank on her she'll only get mad if it's lame and poorly executed. She has high standards.
Another word you'll get is "loyal." Ginny is fiercely and obsessively loyal to her friends, and once she considers you a friend then you have to commit some pretty huge transgression to get her to not trust you again. Friends are friends for life with Ginny, and she will do anything and everything for those she loves. If you hurt someone she loves then she considers it a mark against her personally and will react accordingly.
But on the opposite end of that, Ginny holds long grudges. If she doesn't like you then she has no problem making sure you know that and making your life miserable. She does not forgive easily, and she never ever forgets. Even with Percy, she loves him and has managed to forgive him for what happened... but she's never forgotten it and what it did to her mum and the rest of her family. And she's never really gotten over it or let the void heal all the way. And Percy is the best case scenario of what will happen to people she feels have slighted her who try to make amends.
This childish approach to forgiveness is a theme of Ginny's. She's catty and petulant in arguments, very much the baby of her family and used to being able to get her way if she tries hard enough. She's not above hitting below the proverbial belt in arguments and will more times than not cross the line trying to win the fight.
This spills over into her professional life, unfortunately. While she's a good Quidditch player - she isn't legendary. And while this would be just fine for the average Quidditch player, it doesn't cut it with the girlfriend of Harry Potter. The press exploits the fact that she was signed right after Hogwarts and has no problem highlighting every mistake she makes in every game. Ginny takes it personally. And tries really hard to better herself. But unfortunately she views every offer to help her train as people looking down their noses at her and rejects the offers, vowing to do it on her own - which does nothing for her prima donna reputation. She can't help it if reporters want to talk to her after games. If she talks to them she's a fame whore. If she ignores them then she's stuck up. She never wins and it just frustrates her further.
As a roommate Ginny can either be terrific fun, or a horrible nightmare. Depending on how much she likes you. She's clean and keeps her area neat, and is a decent enough cook as well. But she's very loud, and has a tendency to walk around wearing only her knickers - whether or not company is present. She also has a tendency to take over a space, very slowly pushing her stuff in and other peoples' out until it's the way she wants it. If she likes you she's willing to tone those shortcomings down, more than happy to accommodate you and make you happy and comfortable. However. If she doesn't like you? Game on.
