Doodlemeister
Basically, I think Izayoi Aki hates me. She always insists on claiming scenes (or otherwise warps one of Crow's scenes so it only suits her now), and then sits there smugly while I desperately try to make the scene work again. I thought the Lady of Roses with the Martyr was supposed to be, well, nice. Feels more like she's with that charming man the Green Dragon instead....
So rather than slave away over a couple of scenes which, admittedly, come right near the start of the story, I'm drawing stuff instead. Currently I have an adorable Lucciano sitting next to my laptop, in a definitely-high-action pose -- he's just jumped off some high place and is in freefall. His arm is giving me difficulty, though, since he's got it all held up at a strange angle (plus I just can't draw arms, or hands.)
The José doodle from a few weeks back is progressing nicely, and is almost finished now! I'm not going to colour him, I don't think, since I'd probably ruin it... all that he needs is a little bit of shading and his ear to be completed. I probably need to touch up on those wrinkles, now I think about it.. .
Plácido's hair is too much of a hassle for me to even think about drawing, so instead I'll be digging out a Fridge Brilliance theory I have about him and Centaurbike and actually getting down to work with it. It involves a lot of pretentious geekery and Gin trying to be clever, and of course it won't work, but damnit I might have solved the reason for his "random" merging and I need the world to know.
Finally... back to writing. I'm having far too much fun at the moment. I think things have deviated in such a way that they're no longer strictly related to canon (although they'll all fit quite nicely), and are their own semi-alternate universe. I may need to give it a name at some point. Perhaps "Parts!verse", since this whole kafufffle kicked off with José and The Sum of His Parts. Lucciano, Carly, Jack and Ruka are just preserving the madness as they always do.
Somewhere in amongst all this, I need to remember to read my university books... Great Expectations, here I come. *isn't looking forward to it*
