I've been having some trouble with the Paths tool recently. Occasionally, it'll stop letting me select or modify the lines I've created. I can select points with no problem, but when I try to select a line, I end up making a new point instead. It seems to happen most often after I duplicate or copy/paste a path. How do I make text curve? How do I make it follow the outline of, say, a circle or a cup?

I'm using the new 2.6 model and for the first few times, I wasn't having any trouble. But I'm having trouble with the paths tool.

Whenever I try to clear the sections of image I don't need, it fills it with a white background. I'm not clicking the 'Fill with fg colour' button, niether am I using the 'bg' colour button. I have a background image ( Read more... )

Random question time again. I am absolutely loving the Emulate brush dynamics option in 2.6 but does anyone know if it possible to change the direction that a path is stroked? When you first create the path then the first point you draw becomes the beginning and some options, like changing size with velocity will always start full sized and taper ( Read more... )
