[Terry won't ever admit it, but he actually kind of misses the old man and the mutt, not to mention Dana and his family. Having Maxine around helps, but only so long as she isn't throwing herself into danger or being reckless. [When Zeke isn't skulking around the kitchen like some sort of kitchen hermit, he takes walks! He needs to stretch out his leg; standing around all day isn't very good for it, you see. He decided to take a detour through the forest because obviously that's an awesome idea.

Because it's not like the forest is dangerous or anything with the man-eating rabbits and fog and tree roots.

Oh yeah, those tree roots. Zeke you better watch where you're going or--

Too late. Zeke's gone and tripped on a tree root. Right underneath the tree Terry is in. But he gets up right away.

Yeah, well, don't have much else t'do except sit there and trip innocent bystanders. Prolly revenge for all those other trees we cut down.

Bet this tree's cousin was th'one my neighbor cut down in his front yard.

Depends why he cut it down, I guess. Maybe the tree was asking for it.

Maybe so. The tree did lose a lotta leaves. Bit of a hassle to rake.
