[Terry won't ever admit it, but he actually kind of misses the old man and the mutt, not to mention Dana and his family. Having Maxine around helps, but only so long as she isn't throwing herself into danger or being reckless. And frankly, despite the bleakness and constant criminal activity and violence, Gotham seems a lot more attractive while it's so far away and apparently unattainable.
Exploring the cracks and crevices of Vertiline hasn't done much to enlighten Terry and frankly it's getting to him. If he was a better Batman, he could have found a way home by now, could have played the part of the World's Greatest Detective and figured out that one tiny clue that they needed.
He won't give up -- it's not his style -- but hell, it's hard to try and save the world at seventeen, and even harder when he's not exactly sure how to save it or what he's saving it from.
So Terry's perched in a tree in the forest, looking out over the edge of the fog. The suit is stuffed in his backpack, cradled on his lap.]
