*hands a couple of letters to a secretary before sending him on his way.* This one to the Halls of Mandos, this one to the Gardens of Lorien. Thank you.
It's complicated. Apparently the Valar need all the parts from a Monopoly set to get Caranthir back to being Caranthirë. Don't ask me, I don't pretend to understand the workings of the Valar psyche.
In the meantime, Pharazôn somehow managed to get himself rehoused and he came back with the last piece of the game. We're refusing to hand it over until we can get an assurance that they won't try to put him back into the Halls of Waiting.
Oh. Oh dear. I mean, no, well, it could be considered a good thing but then again it might not.
Anyway, Pharazôn brought the mortal position on rehousing into harmony with the elvish position on it before he died. So legally, for the purposes of custody for example, she is your and Nienor's daughter. Erendis would have no claim.
Really? *sits up* That's quite simpler than we were worrying about then. At least from that standpoint. :S
Erendis apparently knows also. She's obviously been managing to see Bella somehow, and believe me, I'm not looking to repeat the mistakes I made the first time around.
Well if you want to get all theological about it, the basis is that the soul of a child doesn't come from the parents, it comes for Eru, the parents are only responsible for the body that it's housed in. So if Eru's decided to place this soul in your family, then that's that.
The rehoused can of course seek out their previous kin but only once they fully understand the memories of their past life and make a conscious decision to do so. Erendis really doesn't have any right to try and influence your daughter's development in that direction.
*knocks on your door* :S

Well the situation is that we believe our daughter Bella, Nienor and I, we believe she's a rehousing of my first daughter, Ancalime.

That's how we feel, certainly. Bella and her brother are very close... Nienor and I getting settled in with the family unit, finally.

I wasn't sure it was going to have to come to that, but you know, you've got a point.
