Artwork... and partytime... and stuff.

Sometimes I feel so stressed and crazy that I draw stuff. I was studying for Wayland's exam in the library and I was looking outside, and I drew the scene I saw in a sketch and charcoal sort of way. If you have seen this view, I think you would recognize it. But othrwise, I think.. it is just a set of odd buildings. It happens to be the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and the Children's Hopstial (CHOP).
I did this instead of studying for a little while. Cause sometimes you just have to take a break like that.
-exams and stuff-
Wayland's exam went well I think. I spent the rest of the day hanging in the lab, and then the ZOC meeting. I was invited to go out with Alice that evening.
-Dinner-
So, I went to dinner with Alice and her friends. Ethiopian food. 30% of the proceeds that night went to AIDS research and treatment. Awesome stuffs. Awesome foods.
It was 9:30 by the time we left, but they were going to Sisters ("Philadelphia's premier gay and lesbian bar") and I was invited along for that, too!

10$ cover, but you get 8 drink tickets (good for water, beer, house wine, and certain mixed drinks). Good for drinks from 9:30 to 11:30.
The downstairs was a bar/lounge, with buffet food. Upstairs was a dance floor and bar.
It was really fun. If all bars had such nice atmospheres, I think I'd go to bars more often.
Seriously. (also, ended up seeing my ex-student whom I'm writing a letter of rec for... as well as her best friend, who is currently in my lab... they aren't regulars by a long shot. What are the odds?)
Left sometime round 12:30. Got a ride to 36th and walnut, walked home from there. Just a little sprinkling, a nice night stroll.
I must say, though. Even the hottest of lesbians is not as hot as my tee. No doubts there.

I am glad JUlie is OK. So far they think she had a mini-stroke. They haven't ruled out the possibility of MS, but it is less likely. I hope she did well on the exam. We all studied really hard for it, and I think that despite the currently slow writing and weakness... she's quite a bright cookie and merely needs more confidence in her abilities. I really hope she will get to be able to move her toes once again. And that she will get to be able to walk straight once again. Need hope.
